Nadine Montille

Nadine Montille was born in 1978, in Mauritius, in the suburbs of Port-Louis, the capital city. Since her early childhood, Nadine was inspired by nature, mountains and sea, and the bright colours of her island. Brought up by her father who was a teacher and by the Loreto school sisters, she led a disciplined life and turned out to be whole but passionate.

At the age of 12, she started to paint.
At the age of 19, she was selected at the Fine Arts school of Mauritius for a four year course.
At the age of 23, she obtained her degree (B.a Hons Fine Arts, painting major) and set off to teach in Rodrigues Island for five years in a private secondary school.

It was in Rodrigues that Nadine’s creativity bloomed. She was touched by the simple life there and the beautiful ocean sceneries.
On her 27th birthday, she exhibited 27 paintings on the marine theme: “Evasion Marine” which was a tremendous success.
Since then, things started to move rapidly. Soon she was recognized for her vivid colours and compositions.
Now back to Mauritius, Nadine continues to paint with the same passion, simplicity and success, discovering new styles, which, as usual, please our sight.
Most of her paintings are bought by art lovers from all around the world: Australia, England, France, German, Italy, Mauritius, Norway, Reunion Island, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland….
